Vision 2020

2019 was a ground-laying a support building year for us as a new organization. But we see great things happening in our community. Here are some of our hopes:

  • We will actively engage in events and activities for and with kids of all ages. Many of these events will target at-risk youth; those who are in financial, emotional or physical need. Activities and events may include, but not be limited to: back-to-school drives, food drives, sporting activities, life-skills training, camps, special speakers, classes, college tours, tutoring, mentorship, etc. Classes and special speakers will include issues such as: bullying, depression, dealing with grief (loss), teamwork, preparing for college and more.
  • We will strive to support the parents and caregivers of these youth. We hope to be able to provide classes on parenting, child safety, how to talk to your children about those hard issues, recognizing signs of depression and more by bringing in experts in the fields in which we believe will be beneficial.  We will provide for immediate, temporary and / or emergency needs such as diapers, baby food, clothing, toiletries, school supplies, etc. We will provide services for those struggling to find work to support their children by way of assisting in resume writing, job search, interview skills and providing interview attire, as necessary.
  • We will host events to engage the community in supporting these families and youth. Engagement will be achieved through fundraisers, opportunities for community members to become mentors and being transparent in all 4:12 Kids activities.

Where will we do this? We will begin by focusing on the children in Lockhart Texas and into Caldwell County. Our classes and smaller activities are held in our office, 1015 W. San Antonio Street, Suite B in Lockhart. As we grow, we have a vision of purchase land and building a larger facility.
